Marco Ramundo, Founder & CEO of NPD spoke about M&A and fundraising in the luxury sector.
Marco began his career in 1996 as a financial controller for the world’s leading waste management company before becoming financial director of Incas Group and S4win. He also consulted for leading Italian companies including Bistefani, Banca Popolare di Verona and Coop Italia. In 2003 he joined the Terra Moretti Group as CFO and as a member of the board of directors of several of its companies in the wine, luxury hotels, real estate, and yacht businesses. In 2008, he became managing director of the Group’s Max Dolphin yard and in the following years built and delivered several key yachts including custom Maxi Dolphin motor yachts, and several sailing yachts that culminated with the 100’ (30m) Finot-Conq designed ultrafast sailing cruiser Nomad IV, which won a ShowBoats Design Award. In 2013, he joined Dynamiq as shipyard managing director and in 2014 he founded NPD, an advisory company to support his clients & investments.

Delivered in May 2021, the GTT135 (41 mt – 299 GT, see below) showcased NPD's innovative methods to finance its construction.
Futur-e Foiling
An innovative electric boat that combines technology from the boating industry, car design and aviation with an integrated kinematic system of automotive inspiration, similar to a Formula 1 car suspension. The company already patented the technology and will launch a crowdfunding campaign in September 2021 on the Italian platform backtowork24 to raise €400k to start production.
The talk was followed by a Q&A. The event took place at the CREM situated in the lobby of the Mirabeau and complied with the best health & safety measures against Covid-19. The event also had open bar.
